Chaplain

Job Summary:
The role of the Chaplain is to provide and/or facilitate the provision of spiritual and religious care to individuals and staff, of any faith or of no particular faith, as appropriate to the individual?s need. The department works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and with other providers of spiritual and religious care, especially Faith communities and their leaders.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
Helps meet the spiritual and religious needs of mental health individuals in an inpatient setting
Provides direct pastoral care, either one-to-one or in groups
Conducts public worship, coordinating and communicating with community care providers from diverse faith perspectives to meet the ongoing needs of our individuals
Responsible for educating staff regarding faith-sensitive issues in direct care
