Job Summary:
Under broad supervision, the selected incumbent must perform the following duties.

Job Responsibilities:
• Establishes and maintains a unit nursing education plan and calendar which includes new hire support and development, preceptor/mentor development, assessment of needs, continuing education needs, coordination and oversight of unit-based orientation, and competency assessment evaluation
• Designs, coordinates, and teaches the content for unit-based nursing orientation for RNs, LPNs and direct care staff in collaboration with the ECRH Training Program Administrator and Nurse Educator
• Provides direct instruction and collaborates with nursing and hospital leadership in providing these services in both the clinical and classroom setting
• Collaborates with the ECRH Nurse Educator to assure educational content is current, evidence-based and meets professional standards at the state and national level.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse or Multistate license; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Registered Nurse 1 (HCP070) or position equivalent.
