Job Summary:
Provides basic patient care and works with patients/clients to develop daily living skills.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities Include:
• Completes required documentation in patient and unit records
• Observes and maintains an awareness of individuals’ behavior and physical whereabouts to ensure their security and safety
• Provides clients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed
• Assist with lab draws and the collecting of bodily fluid specimens
• Participates in crisis de-escalation
• May Provide some level of supervision to entry level staff

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED AND One year of experience in a related field OR One year of experience at the lower level Health Aide 2 (HCS021) or position equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications
• One year experience and/or education providing direct care services to mental health and/or substance abuse and/or developmentally delayed individuals in a hospital, nursing home, or group home setting
• Previous supervision or leadership experience
