Pharmacy Technician
Georgia Regional Hospital – Savannah, GA

Job Summary:
This position provides clerical support for the hospital’s Pharmacy Department and directly supports the provision of Pharmacy services.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Fills medication orders and performs order entry
• Restocking and inspecting medications
• Responsible for unit dose packaging
• Conducts inventory of drugs
• Processes drug purchase orders
• Ordering medications when necessary
• Prepares medications under the direction of the Pharmacist

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED AND Two years of experience working in a pharmacy.

Preferred Qualifications:
• At least Three experience working in pharmacy Required
• Hospital pharmacy experience a plus but not required
• Retail pharmacy experience accepted
• Licensed with the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy
• Experience in the field of drug purchasing and procurement
• Experience using a computer database
