Job Description:
• Assist our physical and occupational therapist with providing physical and occupational treatment including exercises and activities with individuals.
• Performs a variety of individual care duties including personal care and provides training to the individuals in a variety of areas including physical and occupational therapy.
• Follows verbal and written direction in constructing, repairing, or modifying adaptive and/or functional equipment, uses appropriate tools for the assigned task.
• Notifies appropriate individual of any problems regarding adaptive and/or functional equipment
• Observe and maintain awareness of the individual’s behavior and physical whereabouts to ensure their security and safety.
• Monitors individuals for any behavior which could be dangerous to self or others.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED AND One year of experience in a related field OR One year of experience at the lower level Health Aide 2 (HCS021) or position equivalent.

Experience working with individuals with physical or occupational challenges.
