Psychiatrist – Milledgeville

Job Summary:
Candidates should be Board Certified in Psychiatry with a career interest and/or experience in public hospital psychiatry. In conjunction with a comprehensive treatment team the Psychiatrist addresses the clinical needs of Adult and Forensic consumers and provide emergent assessment and treatment to patients.

Minimum Qualifications
Medical degree recognized by the Georgia Composite Medical Board (GCMB) AND licensure or license-eligible to practice medicine at a state institution or in the state of Georgia as provided by state law AND Two years of experience at the lower level Physician 2 (HCP161) or position equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
• Experience in treating persons with serious and persistent mental illnesses, and in providing care as leader and member of an interdisciplinary treatment team
• Experience working with consumers in adult mental health, addictive disease, forensic psychiatry
• Completed Residency in Psychiatry
• Board Certified as a practicing Psychiatrist.
