Job Description:
Job Summary:**
Provides psychological services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, to individuals receiving services within the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities at their facility, Central State Hospital in Milledgeville, GA.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including cognitive, adaptive, and behavioral evaluations, to determine diagnoses and inform treatment strategies.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, addressing a wide range of behavioral health and developmental concerns.
* Provide individual, group, and family therapy using various therapeutic modalities tailored to client needs and developmental levels.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and direct care staff, to ensure integrated and holistic client care.
* Participate in case conferences, treatment team meetings, and supervision sessions to review client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, assessment reports, and treatment plans, in compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.
* Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
* Conduct training and consultation for staff on psychological principles, behavioral interventions, and mental health best practices.
* Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards of practice for psychologists.
