Quality Improvement Nurse – Decatur
Decatur, GAJob Summary:
Serves as a member of the Hospital Nursing Administration team and provides support to the hospital campus by assisting with quality assurance, quality enhancement and regulatory compliance. The position is responsible for assessing, auditing, and improving different aspects of nursing services including evaluation, training, compliance with departmental and hospital policies, and monitors for use of generally accepted best standards of practice. Works with executive and administrative staff to implement best practices in nursing across the organization
Primary Duties & Responsibilities Include:
? Analyzes, develops and implements audits and other evaluation practices to monitor quality of care and organizational effectiveness/efficiency
? Responsible for portions of clinical orientation of new clinical employees by providing one-on-one teaching and modeling of job duties
? Conduct patient clinical record reviews to assess the appropriateness of care plan, the utilization of services and to ensure complete documentation of needed services provided by new clinical staff
? Demonstrates knowledge, comprehension, and compliance with all state and federal laws, rules and regulations, and agency policies and procedures, as well as the ability to enforce them
