Registered Nurse Spv / Charge Nurse – 2nd Shift

Job Summary:
Registered Nurses Supervisor/Charge Nurse supervises and plans work of assigned staff; oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for a unit or shift. Oversees the provision and quality of nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled client; ensuring staff assess client health problems and needs, develop, and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. provide skilled nursing care to clients across the health spectrum, including those with acute illnesses, injuries, chronic conditions, and disabilities. Performs as a vital partner with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to assess client needs, develop comprehensive care plans, and evaluate treatment effectiveness.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:
• Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas.
• Provides training for staff assigned to the unit..
• Accurately administers prescribed medications and initiates intravenous therapies
• Conducts thorough health assessments to identify client problems and needs, formulating and implementing individualized nursing care plans.
• Makes daily resident rounds to assess physical and emotional status and to implement any required nursing interventions.
• Prepares clients for, and assists with, examinations and treatments
• Prepares rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained
• Responds to resident and family concerns and ensures that each concern is documented, and a resolution is initiated or communicated to appropriate staff.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university OR Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND current Georgia License as a Registered Professional Nurse AND Two or more years in a managerial/supervisory of leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications Include:
• 3 years’ experience supervising direct care staff
• A minimum of 2 years clinical experience is required for an RN to become a Charge Nurse
