Job Description:

We are seeking a Research Analyst who will have a strong expertise in the areas of data analysis, data management, data transformation, and statistical techniques. This position reports directly to the Research and Statistics Manager within Office of Information Technology?s Office of Data and Analytics. The Research Analyst will liaise with business stakeholders and data managers to create research and statistical products that support the operational and strategic goals of the enterprise. The successful Research Analyst will possess attention to detail, strong coding skills, excellent writing and presentation skills, program evaluation experience, the ability to troubleshoot coding issues independently, and a team spirit.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Under broad supervision, performs complex administrative duties and statistical, financial, or operational data analysis and reporting in support of management decision making in functional area.
trends, discrepancies, and variances to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. May partner with other departments, divisions, outside agencies, and vendors to address business issues.
Exercises various latitudes of independent judgment. May administer or provide high level support for various projects, grants, contracts, implementation of procedures, and/or any specialized functions.
Assists with orientation, training, or providing task guidance of junior team members ? including other Research Analysts who are more junior or have less experience.
Provides strategic analysis.
